Account & security

Manage your profile, email, password, Google sign-in, and two-factor authentication.

Your account settings cover everything personal to you: your name and avatar, the email and password you sign in with, your connected Google account, and two-factor authentication. Everything about your websites and team lives in the organization settings instead.

Profile

In your account settings you can update your display name and upload an avatar. These are shown to your teammates inside the dashboard — they don't appear on your public website.

Email and password

You can change the email address associated with your account and update your password from account settings. If you change your email, make sure you keep access to the new address — it's where invitations, sign-in, and account notices go.

Signing in with Google

yabby supports two ways to sign in: email + password, or your Google account. If you signed up with Google, your Google account shows up as connected in account settings. You can use whichever method suits you — just remember which one you used when you come back to sign in.

Setting up two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to sign-in: alongside your password, you enter a short code from an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy). Even if someone gets hold of your password, they can't get into your account without your device.

Open account settings and find the two-factor authentication section.

Start the setup. yabby shows you a QR code.

Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. The app starts generating six-digit codes for yabby.

Enter the current code from your app to confirm, and save any backup codes you're shown somewhere safe.

From then on, you'll be asked for a code from your app when signing in.

Turn on 2FA

Your yabby account controls your public website — and possibly your custom domain. Enabling 2FA takes two minutes and is the single best thing you can do to protect it.
