SEO out of the box
Every yabby website ships with sitemaps, robots.txt, and search-friendly video pages — no setup required.
YouTube search is crowded. A website gives your content a second front door: Google. Every yabby site is built to be indexed and ranked from day one — you don't have to configure anything.
What yabby does automatically
For every website — whether it runs on your yabby.page subdomain or a custom domain — yabby generates:
- A sitemap at
/sitemap.xml, so search engines discover your homepage, video pages, and playlist pages. - A robots.txt at
/robots.txt, telling crawlers what to index. - A dedicated page for every video, each with its own clean URL, page title, and meta description taken from your YouTube video data.
That means each video's title and description do double duty: they help viewers on YouTube and searchers on Google. Well-written video descriptions on YouTube automatically become well-written meta descriptions on your website.
Why this helps your channel
On YouTube, your videos compete inside YouTube's search and recommendations. Your website adds a second discovery channel:
- Google indexes every video page individually. Someone searching for the exact topic of a video from two years ago can land directly on it — and from there, on your channel.
- Playlist and homepage structure gives search engines context about what your channel is about as a whole, not just video by video.
- Your site keeps working in the background. Once indexed, pages can bring in search traffic continuously, with no extra effort per upload — new videos are added to your sitemap as they sync.
Get the most out of it
- Write real descriptions on YouTube. The first sentences become your pages' meta descriptions, so make them say what the video is about in plain language.
- Use searchable titles. Titles that name the topic ("How to sharpen a hand plane") rank better than pure curiosity hooks.
Custom domains strengthen your brand
A custom domain (available on Pro and above) makes your site more memorable and keeps all the search reputation you build under a domain you own. See Custom domain.
